LOOKING FOR BETTER THAN FACTORY SOUND.Strengths: FAR BETTER HIGH AND MID RANGE THAN THE SPEAKERS THEY REPLACED. KILLER DEAL ON THE NET MAKES THEM A STEAL. Weakness: BASS IS A LITTLE WEAK, BUT I AM ONLY USING THE FACTORY HEAD UNIT, MORE POWER WOULD CURE THAT. NO WAY TO GO WRONG HERE. THE IMPROVEMENT IN SOUND DETAILS IS REAL. BASED ON THE PRICE PAID, THESE ARE SUPER HIGH QUALITY SPEAKERS. INSTALL WAS AS SIMPLE AS IT GETS.

Alpine SPS-170A Coaxial Car SpeakerStrengths: Crisp highs, strong bass response Weakness: Tweeter height may be too high for some vehicles if using factory grilles I've had this pair of speakers for about 1 month now and I am very satisfied with them. They sound much better than the original factory Infinity's I had in my front door panels. The highs are very clear and crisp. The bass response is pretty decent, considering it's coming from 6.5 inch coaxials. I would definitely recommend this pair of speakers from Alpine if you want a good pair of speakers...

Killer sound
Strengths: Swivel tweeter can aim highs at you. Great sound and accepts good amount of power. Good sensitivity.
Weakness: Holes don't line up with GMC 6.5" holes (had to drill my own).
Great speaker, fits in factory location on GMC Sonoma, but screw holes did not line up. I can't really comment on the bass response since I have my high pass filter set at 120 Hz, and even that is equalized way down. My bass comes from a sub. I have these powered from a 50W/channel RMS amp with the gain at about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way up. Sound is really crisp and paired up with the Type S 4x6s...
