Sony XSL121P5 SubwooferStrengths: Loud Reverberating Bass. Can take Max the amp can push. Can really FEEL it, not just hear. No wear in long repeated use. Weakness: Oscillates if grounds are connected to the speaker. I bought 2 of these subs through ebay for about the price they are listed here. I installed them with no problem in the 94' camaro back. Just cut out holes in the unused sides. Small enough that the T-Tops can go right back into their slots while subs in use. Had to buy a 2400watt amp to power these babys, and I have no regrets. They worked perfect from the beginning. Just don't connect the...

Sony XSL121P5 SubwooferStrengths: Cheap price, good sound for your money Weakness: none that I know of so far I struggled with the decision of what subs to buy and where to buy them. A friend of mine told me about this site and these subs and i checked them out after many hours deliberating at Best Buy and Circuit City looking at their selection. Finally I decided to look at this site and saw that the prices were about half the price at the stores. I decided to buy them and now am very happy with them.

Sony XSL121P5 SubwooferStrengths: non, sony sux alot!! Weakness: This sub is a prime example of mass production with lots of moronic people pushing the product just because its the only brand they know. Picked up this sub just to test it to see why everyone says sony is the best bla bla bla, , , whell, , i did my testing, ,with a REAL amp, an Alpine MRD-M500, , put the sub in a 1 cubeic foot sealed enclosure and broke it in over night. Then i went to town playing every track from fast rolling beats to deep low bass, , and let me tell you, , this sub had the accuracy of a 50" trampoline, it never...

Sony XSL121P5 Subwoofer
Strengths: Excellent Bass reproduction, Throw in a line-level converter and you get 35W more!!
Weakness: None experienced! Although, the speakers tend to reproduce bass due to leakage if you don't use em in a box which is not built to the specs. That's not sony's fault.
After researching on the internet for almost a month, I decided to go in for these babies since on Circuit City and elsewhere a lot of people had recommended it. I wasn't into competition and fame! I just wanted a decent pair of sub system for my car at a price. After doing a PriceGrabber search I found that Etronics.com were shipping these for $135/pair and I got 'em by paying $10 for shipping....
